“When I was looking for a builder for the Thelma Pearl renovation, Billerwell (designer) and I wanted to engage a company with great experience, that ‘got’ our vision for the house, produced high quality outcomes, with a team we knew we would work well together with. Other factors included choosing a company that understood and could work with the site constraints for a smallish lot in the inner city with limited access where they were likely to be able to maintain good relationships with neighbours through the build and were experienced in working with character Queenslander houses.

I was really impressed with Ambrose and the service they provided.

The reno was a seamless and stress-free process. From the outset Ambrose understood the vision, showed us examples of similar projects before I signed up, which put our minds to ease and we knew they could do the job well. This continued throughout the build, especially with the site manager Austin providing great service in coordinating the team and subbies, identifying and communicating the upcoming stages and any perceived challenges, and keeping the project on track. The Ambrose team are all professionals, polite and hard-working.

Most of all, I couldn’t be happier with the outcome, especially the very high quality of work, details and finishes, especially the quirky elements within the design; and the great communication, flexibility and support throughout and after the build from the Ambrose team.

“Lee and his team at Ambrose Homes did any excellent job on our renovation. The overall project went smoothly and we loved the general care Ambrose Homes provided. They made us feel like we weren’t just another number and that they were 100% invested in our renovation. 

Lee himself has fantastic people skills, the way he helped us understand everything and the way he would advise us without being overpowering was outstanding. When it came to variations they were set out and very clear and detailed so that we weren’t coming back and forth with questions. 

The communication between Ambrose Homes has been exceptional, emails are always responded to promptly and the follow-ups after site meetings and even after the renovation has finished Lee has kept in contact.  Throughout the renovation we felt confident that we were in good hands as, this was so important as we were building our forever home. We were extremely happy working with Ambrose Homes interior designer, Christine.  From our initial inquiries to the final reveal Christine made the selection process so easy. The kitchen selection in particular was excellent.  Christine really took the time to understand our style and helped us come up with the best result for our renovation.”
